In my book Commitment by Elizabeth Glibert(aka kindred spirit of Priscilla) she talks about the Western culture and their perspectives being either Greek or Hebrew. Here is her explanation:
Hebrew-Tribanism, faith, obedience, respect, good vs. evil, actualism, moralistic, ritualistic, morality important over happiness; Human actions either right or wrong
GREEKS- secular humanism and sanctity of individual , democracy, equality, and personal liberty, scientific reason, and intellectual freedom, urban, sophisticated, exploratory, leaving room for debate
Depending on the topic, one may fall in different areas. There maybe a difference between one's real life, personal life, and love life or maybe one carries the same principles from one realm to the next.. Thoughts?
