What Happens Next, We Don't Know

First of all, life is unpredictable.  We do not know what each day has in store for us.  If we are believers, then our lives are out of our hands and we just await our fate.  While I like to believe the best in people, I am a realist and know that there are good and bad people anywhere you go in the world.

In Nepal, I have been naïve to the fact that people are very poor.  Most of the villages I stay in have no running water, no gas stove, and no electricity for almost the whole day.   In these areas, there are the simply happy and there are those impacted by the negative principles of life: desire and greed (still thinking of a good name for these people).  Studying people and psychology, I should be mindful of the way these people can behave-functioning based off their desires and wants rather than with their moral judgement and values in mind.
Open up your eyes, open up your eyes, just open up your eyes- Coldplay-
