Lets go to Lantau Island and go Hiking!

My original interest was Lantau's Peak sunrise hike where you end up going the night before and then watching the sunrise at the second highest peak in Hong Kong, but it was over cast and we would not be able to see the sunrise so ended up just doing a day time hike. We took a bus to the Po Lin Monastery and "The Great Big Buddha."  Our three's company crew Alex, Carla, and myself had such a wonderful time together.  Here are some highlights of our day together:

Bus ride going up through the mountains of Lantau with small seats and love birds in front of us

Attack of the bubbles!

We blasted my headphones and listened to the Rocky song running up the steps to
The Tian Tan Buddha aka Great big Buddha aka world's tallest bronze,
outdoor seated Buddha prior to 2007

The Po Lin Monastery  symbolizes the harmonious relationship between man and nature, people and religion.   It is surrounded by six smaller bronze statues known as "The Offering of the Six Devas" and are posed offering flowers, incense, lamp, ointment, fruit, and music to the Buddha. These offerings symbolize charity, morality, patience, zeal, meditation, and wisdom, which are necessary for entering into nirvana.

The Wisdom Path
We are so cute!
Wow we made it to the top after loooots of uphill steps. Second highest peak in Hong Kong, but the first is only 100 feet or so more. Proud of our accomplishment=)

After our hike we took a stop at the grocery store to do some wine tasting. After tasting about five of the worst wines ever, we went shopping for sake with our sales man Eddie, who was so helpful and friendly-adorable!

And my dinner yum!

Threes Company has planned yearly trips together.  The trip we have for sure planned in our future is 2014 BRAZIL WORLD CUP!!!
Jokes of three's company:
What is the word for ditz? It is not like an apple, orange, but like an orange pink thing-a papaya.
I like to take pictures from the back yoga style! Chinese ox meets threes company. Bananas and bees. Are we there yet??? XX
